Only 1000 bottles are available per year.

Centennial hops upfront and personal in an assertively subtle aroma. Lots of evergreen, flowers, and faint grapefruit. Clear copper color, constant thick head with good lacing. Mouth feel is crisp, it’s a lighter bodied IPA. Not overly bitter and sticky-oily in a good way. Rich hop flavor, mostly pine with orange and grapefruit as well. Heavy malt that’s slightly sweet and doughy with a touch of honey. Good one from Buckeye, I really like the use of the Centennial hop in this beer.

22oz bottle. thanks to miketd for this nice extra! pours clear golden with foamy white webby head. nose of piney and grapefruity hops notes and slight cookie malt note sneaking through in the finish. flavor is nicely bitter with piney hop notes some sweet alcohol and cookie finish. body is med and carbonation is just a tad high. there’s plenty of hop bitterness but it lacks that special hop aroma and flavor but this really is a solid IIPA that any brewery would be proud of.

Bomber. Pours golden with a foamy, bubbly white head with good retention. Nice thick lacing. Aroma is wonderful floral hops. Intense mango and citrus. Incredibly juicy. Like smelling the inside of a ripe, just ripped open orange. I love centennial. Taste is smooth, citrusy, slightly bitter, well balanced. Not quite as beautiful as the aroma but still pretty nice. This is certainly a tasty beer and miles ahead of the Hippie.

A hop head favorite. Nicely topped with a clean white full head. Aroma per centennial hops with slight fruity notes. Hoppiness hits full force early on carried nicely by the malt base. Finishes clean, dry bitter. A longstanding champion of IPAs.

Bomber-sized bottle. Dark amber body with a 2 finger head sitting on top. Aromas are wonderfully hoppy in all the right IPA ways: pineappleness and floral notes with a carmel malt promise hiding just under the surface. Flavor is big on hops, but there is more than enough malt presence to keep things from going astray. Hops (unlike suggested by the aroma) are piney with some grapefruit peel and a little bit of pinapple. Nice brew, that comes off just a bit thin from time to time.

Bottle via miketd. Amber color. Smell of malt, hops, nuts, caramel, alcohol and some citrus. Taste of hops, malt, citrus, pine, caramel, alcohol and copper. Wonderful bitterness.

Light amber color. The aroma is nice, hoppy and resiny, sharp. Quite good body strength; there is some malt flavor, some caramel, strong toffee; and extreme bitterness, harsh, powerful, resiny, with just a touch of citrus fruits.

Bottle. [Courtesy of Storm, another great session @ Papsoe] Average beige rocky head that mostly diminished. Clear golden color. Spare lacework. Aroma of what I thought was Centennial. Lovely citrus, elderflower, grapefruit, pineapple, light apricot, some caramel. Medium to full bodied with a dry and at the same time hops oily texture and an average carbonation. Moderated bitter flavor with light sweetness. Dry and solid bitter finish. Quit nice IPA. 31-08-2007
