The flavor contains notes of citrus especially clementines, hops, and grass. The hops giving it a good bitter finish. Papsoe (14997), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 17, 2005 Bright bronze colour. Chewy, piney hops with plenty of crystal malt in the aroma. Sweet & bitter flavour with piney hops. A simple imperial IPA two-step that I’ve seen a dozen times before. fiulijn (7240), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Sep 10, 2007 Light amber color. The aroma is nice, hoppy and resiny, sharp. Quite good body strength; there is some malt flavor, some caramel, strong toffee; and extreme bitterness, harsh, powerful, resiny, with just a touch of citrus fruits. argo0 (6907), Washington DC, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 24, 2004 Updated: Feb 6, 2005(2-5-05) Off-white head, cloudy maber body. Aroma is medium sweet, citrus, pine, caramel. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit/pine, some caramel, light mint. Smooth, medium body. Not as wowed this time as I was last. (8/3/7/3/14). (RBSG04) Lightly hazed amber topped by big beige head. Aroma is sweet, grapefruit, caramel, some orange. Taste is sweet, orange, adding grapefruit mid-tongue, and that’s what controls the finish, also caramel, some earthy. Medium-full body. Top-notch I2PA. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 6, 2004 Sampled from a bottle provided by DrunkAsASkunk (thanks!) @ the SD Strong Ale Fest. Poured a cloudy, medium brownish/orange color. Aroma and tastes of caramel with a light piney finish. Some citrus as well. More sweet than bitter. Reminded me more of a Barley Wine than a an IIPA.
