Aroma was mainly sweet with lots of grassy notes. Flavor was dusty and grassy with hints of skunk as well. Classic to german style, but not good. cking (1041), North Canton, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 4, 2009 Crisp, sharp lager enjoyed during my first visit to The Beer Engine. Went great with the Tuscan Burger. Bright, dark gold in color with a thin fizzy head and decent spots of lacing. Pepper and spicy hop aroma that leads to a light doughy scent. Sweet with a biting aftertaste, light bodied lager that refreshed my palate. Mild malt flavors backed by an aggressive noble hop content. Good to see another well made Dortmunder from the Cleveland area, but I still tip my hat to the guys down the street. miketd (685), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

Flavor is dry with some toasty malt. Thin body but decent. Do not listen to Cliff, it isn’t better than Dortmunder Gold. Cliff (366), Avon Lake, Ohio, USA
