Buckeye Aquarius

Draft at the Engine. Big Citrus. Deep orangish amber, slight head. Big citrus aroma. Flavor begins caramel malty sweet, the the sticky hoppiness takes over. Very well done, extremely enjoyable.

Pours medium amber with no head. Smells like piney hops and sticky cush. Juicy floral hop flavor. Slightly dry mid palate but still juicy finish with alcohol aftertaste.

Growler courtesy of a couple of drunken idiots that brought it back for me, they know who they are: Pours a clear copper with an off white head. Aroma, strong citrus hops with some earthy notes, sweetness and a good bit of booze to it. Flavor, sweet caramels, and doughy notes, big citrus hops, floral notes, but a distinct boozy kick to it. It’s solid, with a really nice hop flavor to it, just too boozy to really be great.

On tap at Buckeye Beer Engine. Copper/amber pour with a medium off-white head. Citrus hop aroma with a sweet malt balance. Citrus and pine hop flavor with some sweet malt on the back end. A tad more sweetness than your normal IIPA. Similar to 90 min.

[Cask @ Beer Engine] Poured a lightly hazy amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of pine, sticky caramel malts, floral hops, ripe citrus fruits, and toasted malt. Taste of resiny pine, citrus fruits, grapefruit, marijuana, and lightly alcoholic finish.

on tap at the buckeye- a treat for certain- the best beer I had sampled at buckeye- huge, huge piney aroma, and the accompanying hop flavor was on full display- the sweetness supported the hops big time, and cut down on any bitterness- this finished quite nicely.

On tap at the Beer Engine. Pours copper with a small off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, fruit, booze and dank hops. Kinda musty or cheesy. Flavor is astringent bitterness with fusel alcohol. Way too hot and it got worse as the beer warmed. Had a bit of fruit sweetness on the finish. Hopefully they tweak this recipie because this didn’t work.
