It poured a perfect copper color - the taste was right on, the ibu’s seemed right for the style and it had a good carbonation level, definitely a good rendition of a not too common ale style.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 13, 2003 Here's an alt that leans over towards the hoppier side. Medium bodied malts - slightly sweet and caramel on the sides of the tongue. The hops are strong, warm and lingering - if you want a traditional alt, this may not satisfy you. Me, I was pleasantly surprised, even though this can't replace my beloved Blimp City Alt. PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 9, 2008 One-year Anniversary Altbier poured into a commemorative little glass. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 22, 2008 Enjoyed at the brewpub. Reddish colour with lace. Tastes like a competent altbier. Yeast kicks in the finish. Glouglouburp (2877), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 14, 2008 In short: Very tasty and hoppy/bitter blonde ale of some kind
How: Tap at brewpub. Called Anniversary Alt on the brewpub menu, I’m assuming this is the same beer.
The look: Clear dark blonde body with almost no head
In long: Smooth doughy body with honey and floral leafy hops. Some toasted bread. Limited caramel presence and even less fruity notes presence. Strong leafy hops presence and nice flavourful “green” bitterness. Very clean, very drinkable, this is an acceptable session beer. However as an Altbier it is about as true to the style as circus clown in a grey three-piece-suit.
