On tap: Aroma is lightly malty. At the brewery so smell is a little hard to judge. Nice malty flavor with caramel, nuttiness, and roastiness. Lightly bitter and maltiness in the finish.

Tap. A deep brown color. Modest off-white head. Malty, hoppy aroma. Very smooth, medium bodied. Balanced nicely between malt and hop. Would be a good session choice.

Draft: Coppery brown with a long lasting beige head. Chocolate and caramel malts right out of the gate, low fruitiness, and gains a toasted malty aroma as it warms. Flavor starts out lightly sour, but it goes away as it warms to a nicely malt balanced carmel and lightly chocolate flavor with some seemingly brown sugar sweetness. Finish is on the malty side, but seems to have a hop aftertaste. I was surprised that this is on the dry side of mouthfeel, but it's on CO2 instead of nitro which seems to smooth out the feel; lightly carbonated w/ a medium body. Pretty flavorful for what it's worth, another solid beer from Buckeye.

What a dark brown Brown - with a light tan head. The first few sips were foamy smooth - like a nitro beer, but with a lot more body. As it warmed, the palate stayed thick, but the carbonation mellowed a lot. Malts were a little nutty, mildly sweet - hints of anise at the finish - and backed up with a reasonable hop presence. Brown isn't my favorite style, but this one's quite drinkable.

RAF batch, served at brewery: Crystal clear brownish color, with a medium sized white head. Aroma has subtle malts and hops. Flavor is smooth, malty in the middle and slightly hoppy at the finish. A very nice brown.

RAF batch. A dangerously drinkable beer. Smooth, tasty, and moderately bitter. No component is overpowering. A superbly balanced brown ale.

RAF: Rich maltiness with slight nutiness, although nothing impressive. Thin body.

On tap RAF: Light copper color with little head and a crystal malt nose. Smooth toasty profile and quite drinkable, but this is mostly due to its somewhat watered down mouthfeel. An average brown ale.
