The beer is a mostly clear orange-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily. Hoppy aroma with bready malt notes. Medium body with sweet malt and Amarillo hops flavors, as well as a touch of grain. The finish is moderately hoppy with a lingering bitterness left over. Above average overall. michael-pollack (2742), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 16, 2009 7/12/2009: I spoke with the Buckeye brewmaster during Ohio Brew week and he indicated that Bling Bling is his new pale ale offering available for only ~$3.37/bomber in Cuyahoga County (Ohio). His goal is to show that good beer can be produced and available to people at a good price. It is also a way to encourage people to drink local beer to support a local brewer. Admirable goals! How can I pass up trying a pint?! Here goes... Bling Bling has a hazed golden color with a mostly white head. The aroma showcases orange and grapefruit citrus, pineapple, and is moderately sweet. This beer has a medium-light body and a mild bitterness level. The flavor is a bit soft, but some leafy hops do stand out somewhat. Overall this is a decent pale ale, but just needs an little extra kick of malt as well as more hops in the flavor.
Pint (draught) at Broneys in Athens, Ohio during Ohio Brew Week 2009. Rating #13 for this beer.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 28, 2009 22oz bottle from crizay. Poured a mostly clear golden orange with a 1 finger thick white head that diminished to a small ring. Nice nose of citrus hops and a biscuit, bready quality. Flavor held good citrus with some hop bitterness. On the front of the tongue, everything seemed good, as it got to the back of my throat, a kind of weird metallic sourness kind of turned me off of this beer. As it sat and opened up a bit, the metallics gave way to assertive bitterness. Beerman6686 (1304), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

At $4.99 this was a relatively inexpensive bomber. I imagine that on tap it is about the same which makes it a nice alternative to macros like Bud or Miller. There really is not much flavor but at least it has enough character to keep you interested through the first pint. Overall this is a basically average beer.
Aroma / Appearance - The pure white head and amber carbonated body are the prototype for every decent pale ale on the planet. Cedar and a hint of citrus give this a hoppy aspect but overall it is dominated by something malty.
Flavor / Palate - For 6% this goes down very easily. Cedar and amarillo are the key components of an otherwise safe and dull palate. A good alternative to mass produced pale ales this is something that might be worth checking out if you have friends you need to convert. At $4.99 you can’t go wrong. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 11, 2009 22 oz. bottle. Clear orange, medium, dense, white head, marginal lace. Nice fresh hop aroma of pine and grapefruit over a bed of toffee and light stone fruit.. Medium body with pine resin on a dry palate. The flavor offers up some clover honey to start with a citrus peel bitterness that starts to come on mid palate and ushers in a long, bitter, thirst quenching finish. I liked this, a very respectable example of the style.
