Pours a rich dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is sweet and full of caramel with a nice bock character. Good thick malty sweetness throughout and very true to style. A nice bock with plenty of emphasis on sweet malts.

Brown with red accents. Big malt up front. Chewy. A touch of dark fruit and molasses accompany some pretty rich chocolate flavors. Sweet after taste with a trace of hops. Very nice bock.

Drew is the Stud Ass Rater that hooked me up with Sir. Frankenbock, Thanks Bro!
Man, this is not what I was expecting, I haven’t had a true bock style beer in so long I had forgot what to expect. The body pours as motor oil would, a dark opaque mass with crimson edges in the shallows; the head was a frothy pillow of caramel hue.
The aroma is obscene…. it’s so inviting and enticing! I bet this beer is just waiting to molest my taste buds with it’s notes of toffee, caramel, mocha, figs and dates. Oh, F-yeah! This is great! The flavor is HUGE! Massive notes of dark fruits and toasted chocolate and caramel malts, reminds me of a Baltic Porter! The Frankenbock is like drinking a platter of Winter dates and figs, the rolled in brown sugar or a Canadian molasses…. Sweet, toasty and profound!
If the palate were more creamy this beer would be World Class! However, as it is now, it’s one delicious SOB!!

Brown color, small tan head that faded slowly. The aroma was malty and chocolatey with a sweet side maybe a little caramel as well.Very nice malt flavor, caramel and chocolate with a hint of coffee, semi -sweet with just a nice hint of alcohol. This is a nice brew, flavorful with a nice amount of alcohol that is just noticeable but doesn't get in the way of the rest of the flavor's.Thanks go to Drew for sending me this fine brew.

This beer is a dark amber/cola color with a thin beige head. Light lacing. Smoky aroma with malt and caramel. Medium body, with a strange earthy mix of sweet malt, caramel, chocolate and tart fruit. The finish is rather sweet. Overall this is a decent brew but is not up to snuff with the great Doppelbocks.

Paid $3.79 for a 650ml bottle. Pours a deep brown, with a larege head; reminds me of a cold glass of Diet Coke. Smells like roasted malts; nothing extraordinary. Sweet chocolate malts, with lots of caramel, live in this beer. It's rich, but not thick and filling. The alcohol is well masked, with only in the aftertaste does a hint pop in. A fine brew!

Deep reddish brown color with a small non-lasting head. A slightly sweet chocolate malt aroma. Surprizing spicy light, not too sweet which I like. Very drinkable.

Nice dark ruby body and frothy beige head that dissipated to a thin creamy sheet. Aroma of currants, strawberries, soy sauce, and crystal malt. Fruit, malt, and chocolate flavor. Decent fullness in the palate.
