Very, Very malty. Dark malt syrup. Translusent brown color, no hops to speak of ALL MALT. Nutty aroma and flavor very sweet, alcohol flavor is no where to be found, if malts are what you are looking for, I think I found you a beer.

very earthy brew. deep congo-nubian brown, and under light, it casts a cherry pie ruby glow. a retiring head of sand box tan was not a major player in the appearance. the aroma is rich with roasted malts and some funky notes-- though not unpleasant : tootsie rolls and dr. pepper, molasses baked into resin with cherry juice, old lincoln logs, leather shoes, and even a rind of french thom cheese. moderately sweet with cocoa flavors, cola, freeze dried coffee, with a thin texture, timid carbonation-- a gesture of bitterness is present but unconvincing, and i was never really cognizant of the alcohol. interesting specimen.

Dark Coca-Cola brown with a massive foamy white head that diminishes quickly to a small ring. Nose is loaded with coffee and choclate. I find it almost stout-like in this respect. Very slightly sweet and lightly fruity. Most pronounced is a sort of coffee-like bitterness. Slightly medicinal alcohol presence. Smooth palate but slightly flat. Lightly sour. Pretty tasty but lacking complexity. Overall, a solid doppel.

This brew pours with a dark brown body topped by a medium thick off white head with a decent amount of lacing. Slightly sweet and malty aroma with caramel accents and a touch of alcohol. The flavor is slightly sweet and slightly malty with caramel notes, a touch of hops and a little alcohol. Medium bodied and smooth with a slight warming character.

Pours clear and chestnut color with a thick head. Aroma is rich malts, molasses, smells sweet and thick with some noticible alcohol. Flavor is also molasses malts, spicy and a light hop finish. Full body with light carbonation.

For a doppelbock, this is pretty lightweight. It wasn't malty at all. There are many doppelbocks out there which are far better

Smells much like chocolate and motor oil. Deep Dark maroonish black color with a hint of red when exposed to the light. Nice body, mild tart. Very good n smooth.
