Commercial Description:
I never met a Sasquatch I didn't like. This delicious beer starts with a distinct citrus aroma followed by a complex flavor from European Munich and Biscuit specialty malts. Finally, it ends with the trademark Buckeye finish- hops, hops, and more hops. The Columbus variety is used to balance the brew, and later Sasquatch and I personally dry-hop it with Cascade.

Looks nice in the glass, aroma is hoppy citrus. Flavor is slightly out of balance on the hops side, some citrus tones come through. Overall a decent APA.

Bottle: Medium amber w/ a lasting just off white head. Strong grapefruit citrusy hop w/ a an underlying carmel and lightly toasted, nutty malt; low fruitiness and hops turn a little piney as it warms. Citrusy hop flavor and lightly bitter, but very well balanced overall. fairly fruity w/a light caramel malt, finishes bittersweet and semi dry w/a toasty malt and hop aftertaste. Medium bodied w/ low carbonation and a dry, but oddly smooth mouthfeel. Very good representation of an APA. Quite drinkable session ale for mass consumption if so desired.

Buckeye and I don't seem to be seeing "eye to eye". Citrusness became more appearant after warming, but wasn't a beer I would have drank warm. It was just the hoppy bite at the end kept me from drinking it too fast.

Light copper hue with good but dimishing head, little lace. Big grapefruit and pineapple aroma with hints of toasted malts and sublime spices. The taste followed suit, very fruity and crisp balanced by a smooth coating of malt. The finish was lingering bitter. A true APA and quite tasty, a must taste for anyone who seeks hoppy pale ales. Thanks, Drew who just keeps spreading the news about Buckeye Brewing.

Copper color with a big-bubbled off-white head. Crisp, fresh hop nose. Flavor of pinapple, grapefruit and orangr rind. The orange sweetness grew as the beer warmed. I wanted more body. Hop finish is almost too harsh. Decent APA.

2 liter growler Have been drinking this rather continuously during the last month - Buckeye has a $6 growler special for May - and I'm not tired of it yet. One of Buckeye's best, not as bitter as most IPAs, but with plenty of complexity, a malty complexion and of course an excellent citrus hop aroma.
