Commercial Description:
Avalanche Amber is light amber in color with notes of caramel and toast in the aroma. Avalanche has a smooth caramel character with hints of toasted notes that linger in the finish and a mild, fruity dry note from German hops.

A nice change of pace from the usual, somewhat ham-handed Cascades hop approach at Buckhead. This was nutty and dry with a decent but not overly-done hopping. Woody amber brown. Good aroma.

Tasted more like a Porter - noticed the caramel and toast as the description states - littel bit of coffee/chocolate as well. Not as sweet as Marzens tend to be and should be. Nice orange/copper color - pleasant aroma. Another solid effort from Buckhead.

Nice amber color. Balanced flavor that finishes on the hoppy side. Smooth and refreshing.
