savitska (163), Smyrna, Georgia, USA Sep 20, 2004 I was EXTREMELY disappointed in this beer. After hearing the waitress extoll the virtues of its golden hue (true) and honey notes (where) I was struck by the blandness of this beer. Nothing to note in any way, shape or form. I could have been drinking water. Not even any skunkiness to displease, just nothing or more correctly, not anything. A blank slate. PorterPounder (3132), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jul 1, 2003 Has a faint floral aroma - but hard to detect. Light Golden appearance - little to no head - lots of bubble action. Sweet honey flavor very apparent - makes for a very delectable ale. A bit of grapefruity hopiness rounds it off nicely. Excellent buttery mouthfeel. One of the better on es from Buckhead - has not been on tap in quite a while. Had at the Tallahassee location. aracauna (2357), Georgia, USA Mar 9, 2003 Buckhead makes some surprisingly good blonde ales. The Buck Light is a surprisingly flavorful blonde ale despite it's super light appearance. This one was a bit darker, but definitely within the style. The head was nice and soupy and hung around for a bit. Crisp straw malt is bigger than you'd expect from the style with a slight sweetness. Not as much honey flavor as I expected, but not a bad beer. Gets points deducted from being boring though. Aurelius (2643), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Jun 28, 2002 Mild lemon/hop aroma. Very yellow with little head. Mild lemon and honey flavor with solid palate and caramel finish.
