Tasted 8/6/2007. Basement bar to the brewery. Filtered with a golden hue. Clinging white head. Citrus graham cracker aromas. Slight maple note. Medium bodied and really nice. Good effervescence. Citrus cookie malt flavor. Good bitter acidity but nicely balanced. Really nice rolling palate. Orange citrus flavors mixed with doughy cookies. This was the favorite of the night.

Murky orange in the glass -- this stuff just looks imposing. Lots of full hop aromas on the nose, mingling with the esters and really filling the glass. A good hop bite up front, followed by the slight taste of alcohol. There’s a lingering sourness that keeps you drinking in order to freshen up the palate. To my mind, that’s the only low mark for this bitter.
