Aroma has a pine hops presence with some faint citrus and caramel endings. Beer is highly carbonated and really delivers the flavors well. Flavor starts off with some nice pine/resiny notes, solid grapefruit citrus tastes, a great amount of hops bitterness with a very solid malty compliment of caramel malt at the end. Overall this is by far their best beer with a great hops flavor that really stands out but the aroma could do a bit better with some dry hop additions, this would really make it a great beer. jefcon (1007), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 9, 2006 A light, crisp brown in color wilth a varied lacing that really clings to the glass. Beery aromas that accent an apricot-ish hopcit and warm malts. A soapy, sharp bite greets the palate and settles in on the tongue. Lots of warming malts and a long, bitter finish. Exceptional hops on the palate. A very good, strong IPA. kwoeltje (1326), Manchester, Missouri, USA
