Tasted 10/10/09. Draft from the brewpub. Mildly hazy with a caramel amber hue. Medium bodied with a bitter palate. Touch caramel in the malt bill. Subtle esters. Finishes with a mild sweetness.

On tap at the brewpub. Not true to style as this is an ale, not a lager. Tremendously thick head. Reddish amber color with a white head. Malty nose. Tart tongue tingle that embodies a slight off-flavor. This might be closer to a scottish ale, but misses the mark on the attempt at marzen.
