Clear copper coloured body with a super-thin off-white head. Aroma of clean hops, caramel, pale malt and some fresh apples/peaches. Light-bodied; Mild malt taste, short sweet flavours roaming up front and a good bland hoppiness in the taste. Aftertaste is non-existant & watery. Overall, about what I expected-a pretty bad beer. Not recommended at all! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Chevy Chase Wine & Liqours in Washington, D.C. on 16-October-2004 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

This wasn’t near the other River Horse beers at Circle Liquors, it was put in with the Pennsylvania beers. Dirty Pennsylvania.... Anyway I was surprised to learn it was actually an RH brew. Had this with a microwaved pepperoni pizza (the first piece of food I’ve put in a microwave in a t least 4 months) and I think it went very well. A little watery? yes....a little bland? yes....would I drink it over bud or coors? yeah.

Sparkling clear, deep golden lager with a small, fizzy, white head. Malty, grainy aroma. The flavor matches the aroma, but is too thin and a touch nondescript. Light flavors of grain and lemon. Light-bodied and watery with fizzy carbonation. Short, watery finish.

Nice copper color. Malty and some hops. Easily drinkable. Nice beer. Smooth tasting.

This was a really good beer for the price. A nice malty lager that would be great for warmer weather as a change from the mass produced beers everyone is so accustomed to.

A standard amber lager, not unlike Yuengling. Easy drinking, smooth, but not a whole lot going on. Could very easily become a regular beer for me.

Tastes like a typical PA lager (similar to Yuengling, Loyalhanna, etc.). Very drinkable, but nothing exceptional. Since it's local, I'm sure I'll have it again.

Rubber like aroma. Amber color, medium sized head. Watery bland taste, hard to swallow. Some beer from River Horse is quite nice, this blows.
