But this concept usually sacrifices taste. Minimal taste, and what comes through ain’t good. no malt character. minimal hops. The "ice" aspect lends to a crisper/cleaner beer. oh, this stuffs just not good jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA

From a 12 oz. twist-off shaped clear glass bottle, a chipped block of ice, I get it, "Born On Date" in the lower corner of label, sampled cold in a plastic cup. This comes in a non returnable bottle which I think is bad policy and terrible marketing.
Poured a clear pale yellowish golden with a small foamy white head that quickly settled into a thin sudsy lacing, a very light look that I don’t find to be appealing.
Faint aromas of husky corn and cereal grain, a little fusel as well.
Good carbonation, no fizziness, and a dry crispiness, thin, thin, thin light bodied mouthfeel.
O.k., I can say one positive thing for Bud Ice Light, it is easy to drink, close to hard water in it’s drinkability, thin, thin malts, cooked sweet corn and cereal, not much in the way of hops, the entirety is more dryly crisp than anything that resembles bitterness, and a dry, sweet and clean finish.
I have to admit, I don’t see the point to any ice light lagers I’ve tried, just a thinner, more tasteless version of the original ice beer.

Well It’s official I’ve become a beer snob... is that good or bad? Sampled out of a 12 oz at neighbor’s house. Smells of corn and fermented water. No head. Gave the flavor a 2 cause it’s impressive that you can get that much corn flavor packed into something called beer... where are those German purity laws when you need em? Non-viscous feel. Overall, better than drinking PBR, not as good as Nat. Light, I say forget the calories and grab a Bud if you must (that’s a new low, the first time I’ve vouched for Bud since college)! djd07 (733), Houston, Texas, USA
