I’m hooked. I’m a Chicano who’s been making this delicious concoction, hangover remedy and aphrodisiac (but aren’t all beers?) since I can remember. In all my years of making and tasting micheladas or "Red Beers", I honestly feel that Budweiser has made a damn delicious blend. The taste, well, it tastes like Budlight mixed with Clamato with a hint of spiciness. You can drink a few of these and not feel full because of carbonation. It’s still carbonated, but the Clamato reduces the carbonation. The color is USDA Red 40 and anyways who cares, it comes in a can and tastes better straight out of the can. You don’t have to go down to Mexico City to have an authentic michelada, they’re being made right here in the barrio. Budlight Cheladas are just as good if not better. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve never been a good bartender (maybe that’s why I drink beer) or because I’m just not that consistent, but Budlight Cheladas are always consistent which is a plus for me. In conclusion, Budlight Cheladas taste great and are an excellent source of protein. So yes, this is a beer and it’s healthy! !Viva La Chelada!

I LOVE THIS BEER!! I have been asked many times what kind of beer I’m drinking. The thing behind the this is that, TONS of New Mexican’s like it because of the spice, the hint of lime and the splash of clamato it has. For most it’s probably NOT going to be for you. But if one is going to venture for a new drink, this one is IT!! Very refreshing and smooth. Again, if you don’t like it I’m assuming your the type that goes to a Mexican Restraunt and orders "GREEN ON THE SIDE" ...break out and try something new. it’s hot and smooth, great taste!!

A true Bloody Mary lovin’ fan will be excited to drink this "Bloody Marty" mixer! The blend is just about a perfect mix of beer and clamato. Try this with olives or Franks Red Hot!!!!!

Pours a cloudy salmon color with a frothy pink speckled head. Very aeromatic with hints of spiced tomato juice, sea salt, fresh citrus, and sweet malt, and shrimp cocktail. Full bodied with thick, chewy mouthfeel and good effervecence. An unforgiving explosion of flavors, spicy, peppery, sugary tomato juice, and marine-like clam juice gives way to a salty, citrusy middle, and a crisp, clean and gentle hop finish. I am not a fan of premixed cocktails but Bud Light Chelada is an exception. It has an excellent taste for a premixed, bottled cocktail, the closest to a a freshly made Michelada that I have had from any beer company. Although it may be a bit rough to the uninitiated drinker, this beer is very popular in South Texas, where I am from, and along the border with other Latino populations. It is nice to see a Macro company come out with a product intended for a minority group. It may be hard to beleive, to some beer drinkers, but this stuff is very popular in South Texas with Hispanics and is available at every single gas station, supermarket, liquer store, and bar. Very refreshing and appetizing. Try with a fresh shrimp cockail with avocado, or fresh ceviche. A note for those who rated this beer very low: A Michelada is a traditional beer cocktail invented along the Mexican border and is a present day Tex-Mex bar staple. A traditional Michelada is made with beer, Clamato, pepper, salt, lime juice, worstershire sauce, and Tabasco.

Pretty much same rating as the non-Litght version except there is less residue on the glass. Can. And I liked it. Pink grapefruit colour. Porous dirty head. Clamato lacing, clamato scent, spicy clamato flavour. For what it is it is pretty good. You don’t taste the beer and probably don’t want to. Any pale lager would work. Higher clamato ratio than the ones I used to pour years ago. Makes me wonder what a great beer would taste like with clamato. Tasty.
