Pours a hazy golden body with a thin film of short-lived off-white head. Smells faintly of lemmon grass, grapefruit, and spice. Tastes (surprisingly) strongly of orange and lemon, with some spice to round out the flavor, and a clean finish. Light-bodied with ample carbonation. I’m actually impressed! This is much better than I was expecting and I’d take this over a regular Bud Light (BL?) any day of the week.

| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Jan 1, 2010 Drinking Bud Light’s Golden Wheat is akin to be popped in the mouth with a bucket full of oranges. There is a tart zing that overwhelms the taste of the alleged wheat flavor. A fizzy beer - as to be expected - that summons up thoughts of lemon pie filling and sour Jolly Ranchers. I’m sure that, with this type of anticlimactic beer flavor, Bud Light Golden Wheat could double for a poor man’s Arnold Palmer. You’d be better off sucking up the calories of a hefeweizen if you wanted an adequate wheat beer. fakepurseninja (794), Washington, USA

Very watery and thin. Wheat malt is almost undetectable but as a bonus the rice is also subdued. Spice Is minimal. I was very thisty and this was more refreshing than the crappy iced tap water. slayer02348 (50), , Michigan, USA

My friends who are not as into beer as I am describe it as ’a poor man’s blue moon’. Its really not a terrible wheat, and definitely better than bud light. s0me0nesmind1 (6), Alabama, USA does not count | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 29, 2009 Pours a nice hazy golden orange with medium off-white head. Aroma consists of harsh orange peel. Flavor reveals a corriander taste with a bit of a wheat and glimpses of bud light general flavor. All in all I say impressive for a wheat beer with 102 calories. It has a citrus and wheat aroma that matches the sweet taste. The body is light and lively with a thin texture and clean finish. ebarnes (220), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
