Bud Light Lime

First of all, I’ll say that I would prefer it over standard Bud Light, but it’s still extremely watered down and just another boring pale lager. Thin-bodied. Pale yellow color. Aroma of cheap lime. Lime in the foreground of the palate. Just too watery and the taste goes nowhere. Decently refreshing on a hot day, but definitely not something to savor.

Bottle at Green Leafe in New Town. Wife got this but I had to finally try it. Not as "potent" as Miller Chill. Lots of cereal and lime in the nose. More cereal grains, and lime in the flavor. This tasted like Wheaties soaked in lime seltzer water, basically. Mercifully, this is lacking the salt that Miller Chill has. That made it a bit more drinkable. Body is light and fizzy. Actually damn refreshing as it was over 100 while walking around New Town. Ended with more grains, seltzer notes and lime juice. Not horrible, but more a lawn mower beer.

Bottle, from my friend Gabe. I was, obviously, quite apprehensive about trying this beer. Pours dull, pale gold with an unremarkably fizzy head. Aroma is faint, but what is there is almost identical to fresh lemon-lime soda. I mean, eerily similar. Flavor is anchored by sugar, a touch of straw, and mostly a limey-syrup flavor. It’s actually not that bad. To their credit, Bud has made a flavored beer that doesn’t have too much chemical flavor in it. I quaffed half the bottle, shrugged, and gave the rest to a girl.

This bottled brew from Fort Wayne poured a small sized head of foamy medium sized bubbles that left behind a straw yellow colored typically carbonated transparent body. The aroma was of salt and lime. The mouth feel was crisp and thin with a tingly soda pop like palate. The flavor was a mix of soft malts lime and salt.

Ok, admitted, this was sampled on the end of a session of offerings from Rogue, Sierra Nevada and Young’s.... so you can imagine the disappointment already. The pour is clear golden straw, with a soda-fizz head that diminishes to nothing immediately. The nose is spot-on for Sprite soda. The first thing on the tongue is lime flavoring, that somewhat transfers to a mild lemony citrus mid-palate. Not a whole lot going on after that. It finishes and closes with a sour Jolly Rancher-style dryness. No real malt substance; absolutely no complexity. Mouthfeel is seltzery, very watery with high carbonation levels. I understand that A-Busch is trying to capture some of the "craft brew" market, but this isn’t the way to go about turning the opinions of more discernible palates.

A bad combination of a watered down American pale lager and too much lime flavor. Doesn’t even taste like beer; just lime. Unlike other light macro brews which merely offer flavorless swill, this beer is quite offensive to the palate in my opinion.

bottle - So they took their usual bland, adjunct laden, watery lager and added some lime flavoring, and that’s exactly what it tastes like. They added lots of lime. I suppose it improved the crappy taste of Bud Light a little bit. What else is there to say?

Exactly what everyone else has said. It tastes exactly like a Corona with fake lime. If you like that then you might like this, but otherwise pass on this one. Same palate and appearance as bud light or corona.
