Food Lion must be responsible for some of the worst beers I’ve ever consumed in my life. Food Lion and maniac I should probably say. Why I ever check out their cooler is totally beyond me. But on the rare times that I’m in there, and the even rarer times I find something in a single I haven’t tried before, I have an overwhelming compulsion to buy. And so I did. 22 oz. clear glass bottle. Fortunately Rob (walter on the site’s older brother) was in town to share the pain. Clear fizzy yellow, slight head fades quick. Aroma was adjunct laden with a strange lime like thing going on in the back. The flavor was a bad, adjunct laden American Standard with the lime showing up as some sort of artificial sweet gummy thing on the finish. Not good. The lime and the beer just didn’t play well together. Miller Chill was better. Yikes. They are going to sell an insane amount of this stuff.

Aug 20, 2008 Well, I have been looking at this on the shelf for a while and finally decided to see if Bud Light can can worse or better with something like lime added. Clear pale yellow with tiny white head. Nose is citrus. Mouthfeel very thin. Flavor is like diluted lime juice. Better than regular Bug Light.

Aug 20, 2008 Well, i had to find out with this tasted like. Pours a clear, bright yellow colour with a small thin white head. Aroma is pretty citrusy, lemon lime and pineapple. Taste is overly limed- put on your sour face- this one overdoes it.

Aug 20, 2008 When i drank this beer, I didn’t think I was drinking a watery light beer. Or a light beer with lime for that matter. I felt like i was drinking Joy. Not the immense feeling of happiness but the dish soap called joy. Maybe I just got a bad one, smelled lime but tasted dish soap.

Aug 20, 2008 Lime as advertised. Smells like lime, tastes like lime. Lime all over. However, it is a lot more drinkable and smooth than regular Bud Light. I guess the lime works well here. Better than Miller Chill at least.
