I heard the batch from January 12th, 2008 was a little hot. Pours a light golden color with a whispy white head that disolves instantly. Aroma is grain and rice, with just a hint of banana from the aging. Flavor is light and refreshing. This beer certainly benefitted from the year-long aging process. | 1.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Jan 10, 2009 Bud Light is perhaps the most well known beer in the U.S. The advertising campaign for this beverage is monstrous and mostly likely you’ve had one (or a dirty 30) of these at some point. I’m not entirely sure if this drink qualifies as a beer however and it’s possible Anhueser-Busch InBev might agree. After all, the word ’beer’ isn’t mentioned in recent commercials I’ve seen for the product.
Beer or not, Bud Light pours a pale canary yellow and has a sudsy head that quickly shrinks. Very thin body - like drinking fizzy, carbonated water. Minimal flavors here: a syrapy sweetness combined with some lemongrass. Absolutely no detection of hops. The aftertaste is stale and flat. For another dollar at the bar you can get yourself a Hefeweizen. It will taste 1,000 times better and still have that ’drinkability’ they talk about in the advertisements.
