KnutAlbert (3101), Oslo, Norway Oct 26, 2009 Bottled, from the deli shop at Prague airport.
Glowing dark gold.
Rather average lager, sweet malt, some bitter hops. An alcoholic edge is lurking in the background. estpiwo (443), Estonia Oct 25, 2009 0,33L bottle. Clear golden color with large white head. Grassy aroma. Flavor is malty with some tones of hops. Not so alcoholic like Estonian strong beers for drunkards. Good beer. WISEGUY572 (1244), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 10, 2009 Rich gold, crystal clear, large head when poured down the side of a pilsner glass, bud head quickly vanishes, leaving no lace. Appearance is pretty good, actually, but the nose was off-putting and the flavor actually pretty disappointing. Simple, sweet, and surprisingly vegetal ... not grassy, but strange. after the vegetable notes and the alcohol fade, there is some refreshing hop bitterness, but the beer lacks crispness and freshness. Skinnyviking (4142), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 2, 2009 Bottle. High creamy and lasting white head. Clear golden body. Strong barley malt aroma with notes of grass and hay. Mild and smooth malt flavor with a fair amount of hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short mild aftertaste. thechandler (268), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Jun 24, 2009 A little bit bitter. A little bit skunky. Nice and strong though. Not bad. Pretty tasty. Diar (99), Sweden Jun 2, 2009 (bottle in Praha at oh6gdx hotelroom, thanks) A light golden beer with thick, golden foam. A lightly sour and strong aroma. Very sweet taste with lots of alcohol that kills the little bitterness that might be there.Tthe palate is nearly like water. judasbeer (229), Budapest, Hungary Apr 2, 2009 Pale golden pils-like color with relatively huge, frothy head. Moderate sweet malty aroma with nuts, hints of honey and light hoppy spiciness.
Sweet malty flavor with subtle honey and some grains. Moderate dry spicy finish. Metallic, harsh alcoholic feel. Medium body, weakly fizzy carbonation. Not bad , but not too complex. Rodders (114), Norwich, Norfolk, England Mar 8, 2009 (Bottle from Co-op, Long Stratton) Poured a hazy golden orange with no head. Hoppy, citrus smell which was very pleasant. The malt taste was fairly minimal but there was definately a hop bitterness and citrus fruit to it. Warm alcohol after taste. Tangy with a sharp texture. Quite nice and refreshing. Nothing remarkable but more than drinkable, a good summer beer I expect. The texture and aroma was the best thing about it for me - the warming alcohol complimented the sharpness perfectly.
