| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 6, 2004 This beer took on a very pronounced chill haze in the refrigerator and retained a very slight turbidity even when it warmed up. Otherwise, mid gold in colour. The aroma has a pronounced malt character, mildly sweet, with a restrained hop presence and volatile alcohol coming through. Although I didn’t find the flavour particularly sweet (but its not crisp and dry either), the alcohol is very intrusive and there is a marked afterburn. In fact it’s giving me indigestion. Lost marks for that. Slightly tart finish. I found this a rather clumsy and unrefined tipple. Would go down well with the drunks at waterloo station. Bottled, from beersofeurope.co.uk

| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Nov 23, 2004 Bottled. A copper coloured still looking beer. The aroma is grassy and has noticeable alcohol. The taste is on the sweet side and is a bit crude and industrial. The alcohol comes through a bit. On the thick side and quite unexciting. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 16, 2004 Cheap bottle from Stirchley Co-op, Birmingham. Herby, syruppy aroma. Piss yellow, no head. Very sweet, like fondant icing. Finish is especially sweet, but avoids being sickly, and the warmth kicks in also. Slightly Belgian in some ways, also makes me visualise a strong Hefe too for some reason?? Can’t quite decide here - a good night cap - but flavour?? Probably not a style I’ll want to tackle too often. shrubber85 (2932), Wallhalben, Germany

Dark yellow without much head. Suprising light flavor for the alcohol content - sweetness upfront, slight citrus flavor with a moderate hops finish - the finish is also when I really noticed the higher alcohol content. legion242 (1585), Richardson, Texas, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Sep 8, 2004 First, I must say that the high rating for this might be effected by the fact that I had been drinking regular ole Czech Pils for a few days and this was a great change of pace- assertive on the tongue and in the head. Darker yellow then the others and a more prominent nose. The 7.2% was nicely warming on a chilly Czech night. Jukkabro (3027), Tampere, Finland
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 26, 2004 Tangy alcohol aroma, some hops there too. Medium bodied beer with sweet and herbal flavor, strong alcohol covered nicely. Somehow dry ending, strong hops come up also biting your tongue. Nice beer for my taste, better than average strong lagers. Still totally different flavor when compared to basic version. skortila (2905), Bunnik, Netherlands
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 16, 2004 Herbal and hoppy aroma. Clear, golden coloured with a lasting, white head. Sweet, malty, herbal/spicy, hoppy and perhaps some anise in the taste. Fresh beer. A little sticky and slightly alcoholic. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 25, 2004 Gold color with a head that was thin but durable. Mellow malt aroma. Tasty without being able to tell it’s 7.2%. Yeast was hardly noticeable. Not sweet at all.
