Darker yellow then the others and a more prominent nose. The 7.2% was nicely warming on a chilly Czech night. RAUCHFEST (122), PROSPECT PARK, Pennsylvania, USA

Dark yellow without much head. Suprising light flavor for the alcohol content - sweetness upfront, slight citrus flavor with a moderate hops finish - the finish is also when I really noticed the higher alcohol content. harrisoni (6828), Ashford, Kent, England

Surprisingly hoppy, bit of heat from the alcohol, bit creamy in mouth. Bit syrupy like some European strong lagers can be. Finish has more hops and touch of sugar sweetness. Hops make this quite drinkable. 2.6/5
Re-rate, bottle at St Albans 2007. Clear gold, lasting white head. Slight bock-y aroma from alcohol. Crisp. Very good hop on end. No burn, good viscousity. Silky mouthfeel. Excellent strong strong beer. eczematic (1198), Sydney, Australia
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 19, 2002 hopes were not high for this - haven’t had too many good strong czech beers. smells and tastes initially powerfully flowery, like budvar concentrate, fills your mouth up with almost sickly sweet hops, then finishes with a big alcoholic blurp. after a few mouthfuls you don’t notice the harshness of the alcohol anymore and subtle spice from the hops, and butter and raisin toast flavours emerge. estimate mark of 3 for appearance because it was very dark in the forest when i drank this.
