Big mouthfeel with a very light malt body for such a powerful brew.flavors reminiscent of candy corn and marzipan. inoffensive sweet nose for a bomb of a beer.

A pale prototype for a pale bestseller. It’s not much of a pilsner, not very dry, not very bitter, not aromatic. A descent thirst killer.

Bottle. Sour malt aroma but not unpleasant. Medium yellow color. Light malt flavor with a decent hops finish. Weak version of regular Czech Budweiser. "Svĕtlé výčepní pivo" is the name of this beer in Czech and has the regular Budvar label with blue accents.

All in all a thiner and weaker brother of the other budvar. It has the same tasty looks, but aroma and flavor is not that strong.

Pale golden colour, thich white head. Light malty aroma, bready and slightly yeasty, floral aroma as well. Mouthfeel is good, light bitterness, flowery and perfumey flavour. Nice, if a bit lighter than other Bohemian Pils I’ve been drinking.

A great "Session" lager. I found this was a lot easier to drink to keep up with my Czech hosts. Have several of these and then at the end of the night, slam down a few Strongs if you still need something to put you over the edge!

Pale beer, thin in body with hints of malt and flowery hop but not much to hold any interest. (Bottle from Kiosk, Ceske Budejovice station)

Bottle purchased from Albert Supermarket, Andel, Prague. Smallish fluffy white head, with a slightly cheesy, vegetable aroma. Not the strongest flavour: malt and water. Fairly crisp, dry, but not much depth and very short across the palate. Rather average.
