| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 12, 2009 Mostly clear copper amber body topped by an attractive beige head that laces well. Subdued aroma of toasted caramel and vaguely fruity hops. Light medium body with lots of carbonation. Taste is ho-hum. Caramel malt sweetness and understated hop bitterness which is vague. Bought a sixpack of this a month ago and it just sits in the fridge. naivepegasus (191), USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 11, 2009 Pours a soft brown amber with about 2 fingers of off-white foamy creamy head. Not much armoa, soft sweetness with a hint of hops. Starts off with a soft sweet maltiness, that ends with a bit of a metallic hop bitterness. The aftertaste lingers with a general impression of most Budweisers. It’s about what I heard- not necessarily good, but decent, and far better than anything else budweiser does. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Apr 10, 2009 Bottle. Dark red amber with creamy medium beige head and lace. Sweet, butter aroma with only the slightest amount of citrus hops. Cloyingly sweet flavor, metallic, chalky, butterscotch, slight cascade, and a slight bubblegum. Medium and creamy with a slight hop note. OzarkElmo (131), Poplar Bluff, Missouri, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 9, 2009 Updated: Jun 3, 2009Bottle pour into pint. Nice amber color with sizeable off-white head. Nice aroma of hops, yeast and malt. Very smooth throughout, not dry at the end. Lacing lingers till the end. Head diminishes mostly, with yeasty remains. Overall I was pleased with this offering. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 9, 2009 Draft. Pours a deep amber color with a fluffy, light tan head. The nose is light with hints of pine and light malt. Medium-high carbonation with a light mouthfeel. A bit of pine, citrus, vanilla, and sweet malt on the palate. Pretty light in body overall. A little bit of lingering sweetness in the finish. I would call this a respectable gateway ale. A nice first step away from the pale lager crowd. altehkiller (71), , California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 6, 2009 I must say that this beer surprised me, but not in a good way. This actually looks like something you would want to drink, but tastes like something you will immediately forget. Slightly malty and barely hoppy. Far greater than i thought Budweiser was capable of brewing but that really isnt saying much. sethdude (603), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Decent fare from AB. Pours coppery/orange with a medium head. Aroma is fairly typical of APA or American Amber, lots of cascade hops dominate the front end, followed by a caramel malt honey note. Flavor is fairly reflective of the flavor, but there is an odd grape/apple skin flavor in there as well. A bit pricey, but in a pinch, this would satisfy a beer crave. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Pours a nice dark amber color with a thin tan head. It had some caramel maltiness with a hoppy finish to even out the flavor. Not too bad for Budweiser.
