Better than I expected but still not that great. Just once I’d like to see the big names take a risk! Nice red color with whitish head, mosty malty in flavor. Slight bitterness, a metallic-type smell, kind of foul.

(Draught) Pours a clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel, grass, nuts, and toasted grain. Flavor of mild hops (grass, floral, earthiness), bread, and caramel malt.

Tap. Reddish-amber color with a nice sixed head. Hoppy, rough aroma. Flavor is hops and caramel. Quite grainy and quite carbonated, and not very smooth, but still much better than any other A-B product I’ve tried.

Bottle. Red beer with a big ol’ head. Big malty aroma, but this is essentially a sweet beer wtih a definite starchy bent. Why did I expect something better? (#3507, 2/14/2009)

Pours a brown hue with a small white head that is mostly diminishing. Taste is very burnt, and chalky - weirdly enough. Some dark fruits in the taste, but not much - mostly water and wood. Hoppy aroma with a slightly bitter ending taste. Medium body with light carbonation. Better than bud light? yes

This tastes burnt. Why can’t they get anything right? It does have a slight hop aroma, in a break from their typical brews. Amber in color (likely from artificial caramel coloring). This is just unpleasant. Horribly over rated here at 2.7

Ehh... it’s not bad, but it’s far from being as good as Anheuser-Busch would lead you to believe. I think the glaring weakness this beer has is that it’s trying too hard to be great, but still manages to not get it right.

Bottle. Amber body, fruity nose with mild PNW hoppiness, dense, lasting off-white head. Flavor somewhat weak, thin, doesn’t live up to the appearance or the nose.
