It almost tastes like there is a light candied hops mixed with a Sam Adams. Something is just a off with this, not including the sad mix of marketing that is trying to be a craft/micro beer and something better and different that what they claim in commercials is the the best tasting beer in the US (Budweiser itself). The taste is just not something I like very much. Dickinsonbeer (3496), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 3, 2009 Pours a clear amber with a thin white head and some weird thin lace. Aroma somehow corny- dms, with a sharp lame plain medium to dark crystal malt and not much else- very little hops. Corny gritty flavor ok caramel flavor- becomes a bit metallic and harsh, hops are very subtle and a bit grassy. Tacky and harsh finish- fairly dry. Meh. Barrios (858), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jan 3, 2009 Draft at Woodys. Off white head with burnt orange color. Mild hop aroma. Mild fruity hops with a malty and bitter finish. Fades fast. I like it for an A-B beer. Imbockinsxtx (75), Big Bend, Texas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 2, 2009 descent frothy white/cream head not sure if artificially produced or all natural. wonderful aroma of sweet and sour. wasn’t what I expected at all. It has a full mouthfull of flavour with lots of taste. A nice balance of sweet/sour. By far the best A/B product I have savoured. I highly recommend this product as it produced a pleasant brew drinking experience for me. rayg1 (438), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Had this at the Detroit airport while waiting for the plane back to Japan. Came to me poured with a thin tan head and a light brown almost orange color. Aroma is light peachy sweetness, some wood and earth notes. Where is the cascade hops that I was promised? Oh well, onward. Not too bad, however, this really tasted very similar to Samuel Adams Boston Ale just with a slightly different hop profile. I mean there is some caramel sweetness and a slight correction of hops just like the formerly mentioned beer. This is just ok, still better than anything else A-B has produced in a long time. jimhilt (1687), Bow, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 2, 2009 Pours a five finger white head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Nice crystal clear amber color. Good carbonation and light-medium bodied. Hints of a barley nose. Flavor is mild caramel with the hops balancing. Slight bitter finish. Better than most A-B brews. $1.50 for a 12oz bottle from Smiley’s Beverage Dover, NH.
