| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 29, 2008 Bottle...Light amber hue with lots of soapy head. Aroma is caramel, taste is also caramel malt, west coast hops, and some additional sweetness. Palate is medium thickness. This is way better than I would have guessed. wetherel (1641), Encinitas, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Dec 29, 2008 Bottle from 7-11 tasted at alohaCs 2008 end of the year tasting. Mild grainy aroma. Maybe some corn sweetness. Dry and flavorless. Not bad, but not good either. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Dec 29, 2008 pours pretty clear red with a half inch head. smells like a bass. exactly. maybe a tad nuttier. tastes much better than that, though. toasted malts, well rounded with a hop backbone. stands up well. could be called watery, but given the context its pretty fair. on of the better 50% of $5.50 6-packs ive purchased. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 29, 2008 Ah a beer Ive been wanting to rate, after talking about wanting to rate a damn cheap 12oz, during our tasting, Tim LagunitasFan goes to 7-11 for smokes and presents this to me. Damn glad I didnt have to buy it. Pours copper with a bright white ring. Nose has some malty but sucks. Taste is ok, but no good. Given the option of a shotgun to the head, this, and a regular bud, Id take this but, the shotgun sounds like a good second choice. Dredd (496), Ormond, Australia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 28, 2008 Surprisingly good. Given the justifiably woeful reputation of regular Bud, I held little hope for this. But this is a good, nice aroma of citrusy cascade hops with some sweetness. Pour is rusty red with off white reddish head. Flavour is malt sweetness with some toffee and stonefruit notes that finishes with a pleasent bitterness. Naven (876), Poway, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 28, 2008 On tap. Actually a pretty good beer. You gotta hand it to AB, they nailed this style. Although there is no real aroma, the color is spectacular. Easy to drink and tasty. I could drink this all day on a hot weekend.
