So big Anheuser Busch tries to horn in on the microbrew phenomenon. They have before with Stone Mill, which was better than this stuff.. Did this replace that? It is a nice looking beer. Amber pour with decent head and sheet lacing. Aroma is malty with some macro skank. The flavor is disappointing, and not very fresh. I thout with all the resources AB has, they could have come up with something better. A fairly average amber ale at best. The hops dont seem like the greatest. I prefer to spend half the money and drink regular Bud if I am in the mood for something the Clydesdale dragged in.

Clear copper color, frothy tan head that sticks around and a small amount of carbonation. A much better looking beer than Bud lager. Butter and malt blended aroma. Its mainly a sweet honey like aroma with very little hop - entirely pleasant. A mature flavor well balanced between an initial deep malt taste and a fair hopping to keep this ale honest. It contains ale flavor not filler that many associate with Bud. I am impressed an will buy this again. This Bud Ale stands up to Sam Adams Lager and surpasses it on value. When Budweiser lets their brewers flex their creativity results follow.

pours a light amber. Aroma is woody, with malt, some sweet molasses, and a hint of dark fruit. Flavor is pretty light with two sides- fruit and heavy caramel. OK, but nothing impresive in the slightest.

Ah, we meet at last. I have read promising things about this brew from many seasoned ratebeerians. Pours clear orange with a clingy white head. Aroma is softly floral, with grain. Nice crisp mouthfeel that supports mildly sweet flavors. In general, the flavors of this brew are tough to identify individually i.e., they are indistinct. Mid-palate is predictably empty, which is made alarmingly pronounced by the dry, corny finish. Overall, not much going on here. I wanted to give Bud a shot, and I did. However, this still falls WAY short of “craft”, and I really can’t see why the average micro-brew drinker would elect to pay only one dollar less than usual for a sixer of this product.

Pours copper red with frothy off-white head. Aroma is malt and some floral hops. Flavor is there somewhere under the water... malt, yep. Minimal hop/malt finish from this minimalist beer. There is very little to it. For beer, bad. For A-B not horrible.

Clear deep ruby color with a big, fizzy, light tan head. Aroma is sweet malt with a bit of floral hops. Caramel malt flavors with a light herbal bitterness. Sweet malty finish that lingers for a good while after. Body is a bit thin and watery but its light years ahead of ABs usual offerings.

Had this one on draught at BW3 in South Elgin, Illinois. Nice clear dark amber pour with a thin, foamy head, a bright, hoppy nose with a touch of caramel sweetness, flavor is a bit more of the same, balanced, but with a clean, albeit soft, finish. Not a bad brew.

Pours very clear caramel-amber with three fingers of lightly amberish off-white head. Aroma of caramel and vanilla. Mouthfeel is smoothish but with little texture, feels very filtered and clean. Flavor of caramel and vanilla. Very little hop presence until toward finish there is a light bitterness. Quite malty but way too clean-feeling. 22 oz. bottle from Bootleggers.
