Aroma of caramel and vanilla. Mouthfeel is smoothish but with little texture, feels very filtered and clean. Flavor of caramel and vanilla. Very little hop presence until toward finish there is a light bitterness. Quite malty but way too clean-feeling. 22 oz. bottle from Bootleggers. hopdog (5614), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 6, 2008 Very enjoyable macrobrew. I was expecting to be disappointed and wasnt. The ale was slightly acidic and had a sour finish. Not particularly bitter or strong, but overall a decent ale. Dorwart (1829), Robbinsville, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 5, 2008 Decent sized, off-white head of fine bubbles. Light carbonation. Crystal clear, very impressive copper in color. Roasted grains, some floral hops and bready malts with a touch of sweetness. Mild flavor. Bit tangy. A little bit of bitterness and more bready malts. Very easy drinking. Some lingering roasted grains and vegetal notes. The best offering from Budweiser available. blklab2007 (977), Connecticut, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 5, 2008 bottle poured a very light amber color with a one finger white head that fell quickly. aroma has light malts, sweetness, faint dry hops, and perhaps a tiny citrus thing. flavor has mild malt body, more hops than expected, light bitterness, and a finish that lingers for a minute. I guess American ale is fitting for the name. nothing outstanding here but it was enjoyable and the best offering from Budweiser I have tried. Skyview (4087), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 3, 2008 Sampled from 12-oz bottle at Cellars Wine & Spirits and shared with Badgerben. Pours a clear light amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that dissipates to a thin ring. Aroma of lightly toasted caramel malt, some floral hops, a touch of toffee and some pear. Taste is light to medium bodied, plenty of carbonation and flavors of roasted malt, some caramel, floral hops and a touch of green vegetable. Finish is slightly dry, metallic with a slowly disappearing caramel malt aftertaste. Better than their regular mass-produced light beers.
