I am usually a German Wiessen fan, but this one stood out. Dark golden color, with great thickness, and bold flavor. themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 9, 2007 I just had to buy this... I couldn’t believe this came from Budweiser. I enjoyed all of it straight from the bottle (based appearance rating on the picture). Pretty much a more intense ’Bud’; perhaps comparable to an Imperial Budweiser than anything. Nothing special going on here. It was definately fun... I’d rather waste my money on this than a Bud at the bar! fro2218 (466), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

This is NOT the same beer as the previous 2 years, it is a dopplebock this year! And a really nice one.
Pours nice dark, clear amber, with tan head that fades into decent lacing. Nice roasted malts smell.
The surprise is the flavor. Roasted malts, apple, pear, molasses and fig notes appear. It finishes nice, with a warmth of alcohol. The label is plain white, but says 8.5% alc/vol.
This is by far and away the best AB product I have ever had. It rates up with almost any German Dopples I have had--that includes Celebrator. Not better, but damn close.
Nice job on this, AB, keep this type of work coming!

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Aug 16, 2007 Magnum flip-cap bottle. I was gonna reserve this for a tasting, but since the tasting it was reserved for is now getting bigger and better things, I decided to end the aging process on this thang and drink it. Pours a surprisingly thick cheddar orange, conjoined with an aroma of wort and cereal grain. Flavor is a blunt molasses with grain and cereal; hints of candied sugar in the finish. Palate is acceptable. This beer is not as bad as the overall rating would suggest, but it’s not much better, either. rocbyter (923), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA

Dark golden orange color with a small white head. Sugar burn taste caramel like flavor. Full bodied. Worth the bud jokes. biggenius29 (155), Hamilton, Michigan, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Jun 22, 2007 Pours a medium gold with a huge creamy white head, which lasts for the whole glass leaving a very good lacing. The aroma is all grain, and it is almost overpowering. Takeing a taste, it was awful, all I tasted was cooked corn. The body is light to medium with a watery texture and lively carbonation. This beer is awful, it is the first beer that I ever poured out. It is so incredibally sweet, I couldnt take it. BBB63 (4267), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | May 6, 2007 Honestly not a bad beer but for the price I expected a lot more. It pours nice enough with a clean golden hue topped by a lasting frothy white head and very good lacing on my pils glass. The aroma has notes of butterscotch, pale grains, corn, and some noble hops. If the cardboardy and cloying sweet flavors were not stand offish enough, then the dash of fusel alcohol will make you say what the flock?!?! Sure there is some hops in this beer and even a note of allspice upon the finish but geez could they have not ruined this beer with poor fermentation. A chance for the brewers at A-B to finally produce a geek worthy beer and once again they forgot what good beer taste like. AVOID BECUASE OF THE PRICE!
