| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Apr 9, 2007 Deep gold color with not a lot of head. Sweet and grainy smelling with noticeable alcohol. Thick and malty with a grainy finish. Sickeningly sweet and hard to swallow after about 6 oz. LilKem (1210), Marietta, Ohio, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Apr 1, 2007 wow. this was incredibly bad. however, for a malt liquor, it’s increadibly good. some actual flavor in this, though it may be bad, it’s not awful swill. golden color with some corn, alcohol, fuel, and some hay, scotch, and maple syrup. | 0.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 2/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Mar 17, 2007 So if I understand the label correctly, this is the first runnings of the Budweiser mash, brewed at a higher gravity and then not diluted, preserving the potency. Poured a darkish golden with a rich three finger meringue. Odd aroma hints at berries, grass, bubblegum, but mainly butterscotch. After smelling it, I’m not very enthusiastic about taking the first sip, which I am about to do...cold (not just the temp, just a flat cold smack of candyish butterscotch sweetness), grainy, seriously undercarbonated which makes it all that harder to drink. Becomes very thin for an 8.5% beer towards the finish, which is shudder-inducingly bitter, not pleasantly hoppy bitter. Frankly this is awful and I’m going to have to dump this entire gigantic bottle, what a waste of money, but I can only blame myself as I should have known better. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 17, 2007 I actually didn’t mind this beer if it was only 12 oz. but the big bottle (which was really nicely labeled) was a little too much. Give it a shot if you are sharing the bottle with friends. StLsportsfan (35), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Mar 11, 2007 I got this in the clearance aisle, thinking it wouldn’t skunk due to the high alcohol. Well it didn’t skunk. (I think)
IF you are going to drink it, I suggest some real strong food. I had it with (lots of onion, peppers, ham, mayo style) macaroni salad, and a brat. It was a good pairing. But now that I"m trying it solo... well I gave it a 2.0
Just an other hoity toity malt liquor. Like my Grandpappy says; a butt still smells like a butt, no matter what the packaging.

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 5, 2007 If this is definitively a malt liquor then it has to be one of the best out there (havent had the Dogfish Head). The head sustained really well, and this beer a much better offering than anything else branded Budweiser by Anheuser. It definately has more depth in the malts and a lot more hops than regular offerings.
Also the bottle is great for homebrewers that bottle, that have people over a lot... One of these saves 2-4 smaller bottles. bitbucket (2034), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 21, 2007 Gigundous swingtop bottle in a presentation box. For some reason, my previous rating for this beer evaporated. It’s just plain gone from the database. This was the best malt liquor I’ve ever tried, but that’s not saying a whole lot, and I’m not going out to get another bottle. So here it is, my only rating from memory. Noticeable alcohol aroma and fusil taste, with some caramel in there somewhere. Creamy medium body, carbonation on the light side?
