Commercial Description:
Brew Masters’ Private Reserve is an exceptionally rich beer that is a symphony of character, featuring a balanced hop aroma with 8.5 percent alcohol by volume (ABV). Based on the time-honored Budweiser brewmaster holiday tradition of collecting the richest first part of the brew as it is tapped to the brew kettles to celebrate the season, this is the first time it is being made available to the public.

Bottle poured a clear amber with small lasting off white head. Aromas of straw, bread, a hint of carmel and light citrus. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, bread and a hint of citrus with a lingering lightly bitter finish.

(46 oz designer bottle) Pale yellow-gold with white head the fades quickly. Malt/grain aroma. Flavor is malt, grains. Alcohol in the finish. Fuller mouthfeel than regular Bud.

It just seems that A-B cant seem to get anything right even though they went to the extra mile with the bottle design. The beer its self is nothing but a enhance version of Budweiser. still too much alcohol and adjuncts. not worth the extra money.

The aroma is light. It is mostly sweet malt and rubbing alcohol with a small but noticeable hop element. The appearance is yellow/orange/gold with a small head. The flavor is unpleasant with poorly tasting malt, rubbing alcohol, and astringent bitterness. The palate is thin. I have to say that I was not hoping for much and it was a good thing. This is a bad beer in almost every way and I’m not quite sure why the brew master is keeping this but he can have it.

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours golden with a large white head. Alcohol and corn-like aroma. The flavor is decent, alcohol, corn, sweet malts, smooth. Decent beer.

Ok, I shared this with Stegosaurus. First off it is one of the best Anheuser busch crap I have tasted. It’s still not good but it’s not toally horrible. The bottle tricks you into thinking it will pour dark, it does not. Pours golden with a good heat retention. Corn and grain and mild bitterness can be tasted. I did not like the after taste.

Pours a frost-hazed amber under a white head with moderate retention. Fully malted aroma does not come off as adjuncty. A dose of alcohol strikes hard after a base of Ovaltine and honey with some caramel notes. Flavor takes a dive. A fat, slick palate carries alcohol-laden malts like sugar cookies doused in gasoline. For a Malt Liquor, it’s above average. For Anheuser-Busch, it’s exquisite. Overall... not so hot.
