FishManLA (164), Abita Springs, Louisiana, USA Apr 5, 2008 Pretty golden color. Fluffy but thin head, no lacing at all. Nose of malt and corn. Grainy taste with a slightly hoppy finish. A reasonably good Pilsener, but not an outstanding one. I like Urquel much better.
SpudClampDawg (917), Jasper, Indiana, USA Aug 18, 2008 12oz bottle: Solid gold pour with a frothy head and champagne like bubbles swirling throughout. Fantastically clean nose with an abundance of grassiness and honeyed malt. The malts are buttery and sweet on the tongue, balanced by a blast of pine needles and rind. Very drinkable, but packed with complexity. Angeloregon (1832), Portland, Oregon, USA Aug 16, 2008 Bottle from Belmont Station in Portland, OR--Poured a light straw golden bottle with a beefy white head and lots of bubbles rising through body. Spicy, grassy, skunky nose. Grainy with a some flowery prickly notes. Finished rather dry but pretty mild all around. Well built and sessionable. mullet2007 (115), Newfoundland, Canada Aug 15, 2008 Pours a very clear yellow colour with not much head to speak of. Nose is some flowery hops, not much else. Flavour is crisp and very sweet, and a little bit flowery, otherwise, pretty bland. Carbonation is ok, and it’s about as watery as you’d expect it to be. elihapa (232), Hawaii, USA Aug 15, 2008 Updated: Aug 16, 2008Had in bottle at bar 35 in Honolulu. Not sure if this really was as good as the can version that I tried while in Switzerland. Nevertheless, aroma is pleasant of hops and flowers, palate is refreshing. Flavor is mild, and contains some upfront sweetness and flowers. Later, this beer settles down with a hint of bitterness at the end. For this style, you gotta give this brew some props! ska (33), Italy Aug 14, 2008 I’ve finally found a 33cl bottle of this beer after some months searching for it! Golden colour and medium white head, light floral malt aroma, hops presence, clean bitter finish, this is the real budweiser (american bud sucks), very good
