I had heard a lot of good things about this supposedly classic pilsner, and therefore was anticipating trying it when I scored a six-pack. The beer pours a medium yellow, with a reasonably fluffy white head. The aroma reminded me of regular American Budweiser that had been exposed to light. It wasn’t entirely skunked, but it was close. I got very little hop aroma. The palate was just as disappointing, throwing very little, if any, malt, and having just a touch of bitterness- not the bracing and assertive type that one would expect from a Bohemian Pils. Overall, a disappointment in essentially all facets. MaltDawg (778), Richmond, Virginia, USA

Light graininess with earthy spicy hop aroma. Clear light straw with a small white head. Light graininess with some honey notes and a dry hay like spicy hop flavor. This is what Bud should taste like. A wonderful lager with a great blend of malt and hops, quite a refreshing beer Berley31 (198), New Brunswick, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 31, 2009 Bottle. Poured with an average-sized, fizzy white head, that disappeared failry quickly. Dark-yellow color, clear and sparkling. Smelled quite skunky; this aroma hung around for most of the time drinking it. As for the flavor, it was slightly sweet and acidic, and skunky as well. Not great, and didn’t improve over time. Light to medium body with a watery texture and fizzy carbonation, with an average-lasting finish. Don’t think I’d go out of my way to buy it again. ben4321 (1041), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Don’t confuse with the American crap, this is the real (and pretty good) Budweiser (as a good European friend of mine likes to remind me).

Nose is all hops. Taste is all hops as well. Very smooth with a short finish. Not bad but not great. Much better than Anheuser-Busch’s knock-off Budweiser brand. Bragesnak (2276), Aarhus, Denmark

Golden with white head. Aroma of malt with hint of hay and spices. Flavor is more malt with an OK bitterness. WVHouseofBeer (390), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA

For the kind of beer it is, I guess it’s alright, but it’s really nothing special.
