Crisp and hoppy with good crispness making it very drinkable as a session beer. stock66 (7), Bay City, Texas, USA does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 2, 2008 Sitting outside on a hot Texas evening and grabbed one of these out of the icebox. Damn that feels funny...11.2 oz!!!Okay, the portion size leaves a little to be desired but the beer made up for it. Nice aroma with a little bite to the taste with a strong finish. Hoppy, malty with everything I like in a good beer. Glad this is finally on the shelves locally. scooterbub (379), Lander, Wyoming, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a golden color with a decent white head that fades away. Taste is of malt, hops and is fairly bitter. Has a nice grassy hop aroma. This is a pretty good beer to have, especially when on sale, but I’d rather go with Pilsner Urquell. On a side note, it comes in a neat bottle. SODAK14 (107), Rapid City, South Dakota, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 1, 2008 I really liked the one. The first thing I noticed was the nice aroma was quite strong. Very good taste with just a slightly bitter after taste. Basically that was the only real flaw I find in this beer. Definitely a beer that would go great at lunch or dinner! maltdog (515), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 31, 2008 Finally available locally. Sampled from an old imported “Budweiser Budvar” tulip. Deep gold with a faint loden hue, fast fizzy head that quickly vanishes, and no lace. The aroma is lightly skunked, but not unpleasantly so, with candy-nutty malt, fresh cigar, earthy spice, and cornhusk scents. Malty, sweetish flavor…toasty and cedary… toasted oat cereal finish, spicy bitterness, some saltiness, minty aftertaste. Medium bodied and a little sugary. This, the real B-weiser, is superior in every respect by orders of magnitude to fizzy AB pisswater. iammarc (193), Inverness, Scotland

Golden in colour, a little lighter than pilsner urquell. Not a bad taste, not mind-blowing however. gueuzeisgod (109), Graham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2008 12oz bottle, brilliantly clear, 1cm head that fades down to a trace, rich golden color. Smells of sweet malt and spicy hops. Taste is pleasant, a twinge of skunk as noted by previous rater (green glass?) good body, maybe a bit dextrinous or slight underattenuation, strong hop presence, sets the bar for the US Budweiser- if only AB would brew theirs like this, more people here would at least begin to understand what good beer is. csbosox (1081), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 26, 2008 I would love it if this beer was a nice bo pils, but I worry greatly about the damn green bottle. 12oz bottle, served in a NB worthy snifter. (I’m not going to dirty another glass at 2:15AM). Aroma is lightly kilned malt and light herbal and floral hops. A bit of skunking, but it seems to have gassed off, mostly. Just to add an odd note, when I smell this beer I think of Long John Silver. Why? The beer doesn’t smell like fish, maybe it smells like the batter or the hushpuppies, I have no idea. The flavor is crackers and herbal, somewhat bitter, hops. This is pretty tasty, but I am sure it pales in comparison to this a little more fresh. No Bud drinker would get this confused with Budweiser, you can actually taste the malt and hops that go into it.
