May 29, 2008 this brew pours a light, golden, sparkling and medium sized white head. soft, malty character with little citrusy fruit. Shame on AB for stealing the name and props to this brewery for making a great beer for all these years.

May 27, 2008 Draught beer. Not quite what it was a few years ago but still one of the best lagers available. Excellent balance between malt body and hoppy bitterness with a good citrus element in the finish. If not handled correctly it can have a truly nasty taste to it so only have the draught at a venue with a good reputation.

May 26, 2008 Clear golden yellow color. A bit creamy head is white. Aroma is fresh: malt, butter. Butter can be observed much better from flavor which is also malty and smoothly hoppy. Palate is oily and greasy, light-bodied.

May 26, 2008 Updated: Apr 13, 200933 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Nice golden color with a small head. The aroma is slightly quite malty with some light hops. Same with the flavor, malty with a pretty good bitterness and actually some very light fruitiness (drank this on tap in Prague last year, and that was even better...). This is one of the best mass produced Czech beers out there imo.

May 23, 2008 33cl bottle from Systembolaget Charlotteberg. It poured a golden color with a small head that vanishes quickly in the glass. It has a bitter malty aroma. The flavor is slightly bitter and tastes of malts and syrup. One of the best lagers I’ve ever tasted.

May 20, 2008 500ml bottle: Golden with no head. Hoppy nose with notes of caramel. Bready malt flavour; traces of corn. Somewhat sticky body with a nice balanced bitter finish.

May 18, 2008 Golden colour, with the slightest hint of red. Foamy white head that dissipated quickly. Malty aroma with a hint of hops. Flavour was somewhat malty, but overall fairly bland with the suggestion of hops and some bitterness & a slight skunkyness. A decent, if unremarkable pilsner.

Medium golden yellow, clear beer with a good sized white head that fades a little quick. Aroma is sweet with some flowery hops. Flavour is a bit dry with some crisp hops and some mustardy acidity. A drinkable pils but not much more.
