| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 3, 2008 Golden yellow/pale green tinges. Has a clean and crisp hopped aroma. Great saaz hops taste, with a medium body that provides a ton of pure lagered beer flavor. Even hints towards some bittersweet tones. Heavily carbonated and, true to the style, starts to taste a bit meaty and grainy as it warms. However this, when you drink it cold, its about as good a lager as they come.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 1, 2008 Actually had this beer in the US as "Czechvar". According to Michael Jackson, this was actually the original Budweiser (which I don’t care for). However, this original Czech version is not as grainy or strong tasting as Bud, but is tempered with the flavor of some of the lighter Europeans like Urquell. Pilsnar is not my favorite style, but this is not a bad beer, especially served cold. troopie (906), USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 29, 2008 Bottle. Poured gold with a thick fast dissipating white head. Skunky aroma (it was in a green bottle) that went away and was replaced by a fresh hay aroma. Malty lager flavour. Light bitterish finish. This is not the equal of Pilsener Urquell, but would make a serviceable session pilsener. ogreface (333), Budapest, Hungary
