| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 10, 2007 Crisp clear golden color. Slight head, some lacing. Smells like a pilsner- graqssy, even slightly pungent, sulfury. Taste matches- clean, tones of grass, it’s got that pilsner "skunk" (not to be meant as a negative)- but it’s not overpowering. I prefer this in a pilsner. Not as dry as others, but dry enough. Carbonation is nice. Some bitterness. Nice to sit back and put a few away in the summer." bbbrew (183), Washington DC, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 7, 2007 Updated: Aug 21, 2007Originally reviewed back on 11/4/02. Received 3.4 score. Added to my RB list to check "Czech Republic" as a beer country consumed. It was a search to initially find this around here in 2002, and I was glad to have finally found some. Labeled Czechvar. Golden coloring, crisp hop feel, thirst-quenching flavor. A nice beer that would be killer fresh from the source. rugbydude05 (298), Kew Gardens, New York, USA

Pours well, good body, and no bitterness. It tastes even better when its a $1 per pint. I also had it in a bottle and only noticed a slight dropoff in taste. yespr (12190), Copenhagen O, Denmark
