Added to my RB list to check "Czech Republic" as a beer country consumed. It was a search to initially find this around here in 2002, and I was glad to have finally found some. Labeled Czechvar. Golden coloring, crisp hop feel, thirst-quenching flavor. A nice beer that would be killer fresh from the source. rugbydude05 (302), Kew Gardens, New York, USA

Pours well, good body, and no bitterness. It tastes even better when its a $1 per pint. I also had it in a bottle and only noticed a slight dropoff in taste. yespr (12420), Copenhagen O, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 1, 2007 12 oz. bottle (Czechvar). Pour is golden yellow (a bit deeper than a Pale Lager) with a nice white head. Aroma was a touch of skunk initially, which gave way quickly to some nice earthy hoppiness. Spicy, earthy hops are the main component of the taste with a bit of sweet sugar malt in there as well. Finish is crisp and clean. Nice beer. ChristianScheffel (4679), Odense, Denmark

Grain aroma, with fruit, hay and herbs. Initially rather sweet for a bohemian pilsner, but with with a good, lasting hoppiness that beats most of the competition in the world.
Tank pub in Prague 2008: Malty and sweet ith just the right amount of hops. Pretty much the same rating. mabel (2626), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
