Commercial Description:
The starting procedure for the production of Yeast Lager is the same as for the Budweiser Budvar Czech Premium Lager. The difference is in the fact that before filling a certain volume of “rings” are added into the finished beer for consumption quality. A new culture of brewing yeast in the best condition and new ratio of extract is added into the beer. In the transport package (KEG barrels) there is a further level of fermentation of beer which brings better sensory quality and higher biological value. The Budweiser Budvar Yeast Lager contains lice culture of yeast, so therefore has a higher content of amino-acids and B complex vitamins. It also contains a higher ratio of high-molecular proteins which cause a stronger fullness of flavour. The flavour is stronger up to very strong which is positively reflected in the more fresher flavour of ringed lager. Experts will also feel the light flavour and aroma of yeast. The foam is rich, compact and very stable. The colour of the beer is golden-yellow, the presence of yeast in beer causes the beer to be non sparkling, but clear up to a light opalescent. The ringed lager is delivered exclusively into selected gastronomic operating units which fulfil the strict conditions for maturing of beer in KEG barrels because before tapping they must stand in an unchangeable position for a period of at least one week at the temperature of 6-8 °C.

Tap @ Budvar bar at U Medvidku. Ohh Boy, I had a hard time figuring out whether it was the unfiltered they had on tap or the regular. Nobody understood English. It poured slight unclear golden with a lasting white head and lacings. A bit of yeast, floral hoppy, crisp and dry. Medium and smooth palate. Pleasant.

Color gold with beautiful compact foam. Aroma of intense malt and fruit. The body is soft and fizzy. Very clean mouth.

From keg@Masné Krámy, České Budějovice. A dense, creamy two-finger head resting on a bright, shiny golden body. Malty aroma, yet clean and dry, with some metal notes and a fine scent of grassy and hayish hops. Taste is slightly sweet, refined malty, with a certain rawness and a touch of cellar. Some subdued fruit tones and a very fine, earthy and grassy hop bitterness all the way. Only traces of yeast in this ’yeast-beer’. Very filling, and super drinkability. A treat.

Draught in Ceske Budejovice. A clear gold with a large foamy white head. A light yeasty malt aroma. A very clean malt palate with a mild sweetness.

On tap at Budvarka, Litomerice, Czech Republic. Pours clear golden with a big creamy white head. Nose of light hops, yeast, maybe some grapefruit as well. Taste is first and foremost butterscotch, low bitterness

!!! People, this beer is not available in bottles, you can have it only in 4 pubs in Czech rep. - 1 in Prague (Budvarka), and 3 in České Budějovice (Budvar Brewery, Budvarka and Masné krámy). And this beer "kroužkovaný" lager is fantastic. If you write about beer in bottle, you write about another beer!!!

Bottle. Pours golden, with short-living white head. Malt, hop and slightly citrus nose, and hops and yeast on the palate. Fresh mouthfeel, with moderate carbonation, and overall a smooth lager.
