The voluminous dark tan head fills 1/3 of the glass, large-bubbled and decaying slowly atop the translucent molasses-hued body....faint burnt-grain notes, a hint of chocolate, but also alas some light skunkiness in the strong nose....the body is roasty, rather dry with just a bit of light chocolty residual sweetness certerpalate and fading rapidly....strong carbonation, fairly intense bitterness at the finish, all underdone by a very weak, thin body. Potential, but.... KimJohansen (7190), Copenhagen V, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 1, 2008 50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a little dense light bornw head. Lovely aroma of roasted malt and light hoppy fruity note. Flavour is smooth, almost chocolate like, malty and with a nice fruity note from the hops. Leads into a nice mild bitterness and roasted note in the finish. fonefan (11890), VestJylland, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 20, 2008 Bottle, thanks pivnizub. Roasted, light coffeeish and citric aroma. Dark claret, big fluffy brown head. Roasted malt and caramelized sugar in the foreground, ashen burned or smoked notes. Fairly light body, maybe I am just too used to bavarian Dunkel, but I feel it doesnt support the agressive roast and caramel at all. Quick cigar-finish with Saaz shining through. Well, she who must be obeyed enjoyed this immensely and I must say, I think she has rather good taste in such matters.
