Pint in the Bear & Billet, Chester. Was interested in this beer when I saw the tap. Coca cola appearance, not quite black but there abouts with an off white head. Rich syrup taste. Slight fruit and hoppy. An interesting and tasty brew.

Poured a dark reddy brown, with a good, though short-lived, off white head. Hoppy aroma with hints of roast nuts. Sweet, milky taste: nutty and a little chocolatey. A bitter hoppiness in the finish. Smooth palate, quite thin. Tasty dark lager. Nice hoppiness.

Bottle. dark brown colour, with medium head. Aroma oand taste of malts, coffee and caramel. Some notes of bitter chocolate and sweet malts. A bit more carbonation than Budjovicky Bohemia Dark. Tastes a bit like a christmas beer.

Bottle 0.5 L. Dark brown body with reddish glows; large, creamy, light-brown head, mostly diminishing with a fair lacing. Aroma is moterate-to-heavy malty (toasted with caramel hints) and lightly hoppy; notes of toffee and prunes. Flavour is moderate bitter and light-to-moderate sweet; the bitter note becomes more dominant in the finish. Light-to-medium body with a watery texture; soft carbonation. On the average satisfactory, even if I had the feeling of an overall thin, dilute beer.

Amber, dark coloured brew. Malty, fruity aroma with a bit bitterness and fruity flavour. Avarage, but too watery.
