Bottle, from Morrisons. Deep red brown, moderate lasting off white head and gentle condition. Pleasant earthy roasted barley a touch of phenols and low sweet chocolate with a touch of fruitiness in the nose, dry and earthy roasted barley in the mouth with a balancing sweet chocolate and caramel note, dry roastiness and low caramel sweetness lingering in the finish.

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black. Thin light tan head, dissipates. Nose of slightly sour malts, some bitter hops. Chocolate and roasted malts, lots of dark chocolate malt in the taste. Very clean. Quite an excellent drinkable dunkel.

A dark, chocolate brown coloured beer with reddish tints and a thickish white head. A light, toasted malt nose, with hints of caramel and a nutty toffee aroma. The taste is bitter, and fizzy on the tongue. Caramel, toffee and a nutty, slightly sweet, malty flavour comes through. The finish is light, fizzy and a touch bitter. Refreshing when served cold. (Bottle - courtesy of Mark & Marie @ The Fox & Hounds, Heacham, Norfolk).

Bottled as Premium Dark Lager. Chocolate aroma with a hint of cola. Dark brown color, beige head, very nice lace. Chocolate, light sweet, light malty, light bitter, light roasted, medium body. Didn’t really like it when I started but half way the bottle I got used to it.
