Bottle 50cl, Oddbins. Dark dark dark appearance. Thin lacing - short lasting head. Sweetish aroma. Roasted taste, a bit nutty. A little chocolaty. Would have preferred it to be stronger to give it a bit of more character, but nonetheless a good decent beer.

(Draught on 2008-08-08) Deep dark brown. Clear. Tan-coloured medium-sized head. Malts and metallic aromas in nosw. Medium-bodied dry palate with lot of carbonation. Malts, bitterness, roasty flavours and sweetness. Harsh and bitter aftertaste.

0,5 l bottle. Reddish black colored. Very big, nice and foamy head. Very easy going, smooth Dunkel, with the usual set of aromas included : nuts, roasted malts, dark chocolate, caramel. Bitter aftertaste. Like the others have said, a bit boring but then again quite good dark beer.

Bottle green, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours reddish, dark, deep and perfectly clear body texture, carbonation of the body is rather mild, head is off white, cappuccino like in colour, there is decent lacing, head is frothy in texture, initially medium, slowly decreasing to small but still lasting as a small beige - brown cloud on the body surface.
Aroma: Very mild and gentle aroma of dark slightly toasted malt notes of chockolate, caramel, coffee, nice dark character, cappuccino, a note of Plzen malty touch at the background manifesting itself in grainy accents.
Flavour: Very pleasant roasted barley grains, strong bitterness binding your tongue of hoppy origin is that what creates an adventurous experience of dark chockolate and cacao. Very clean, focused and well rounded ingredients. When it comes to maltyness: Plzen malt, Munich malt, caramel malt, burned, roasted malt is balanced with herbal hoppy nose of Saaz hops. Some minerality. Finish duration is long. Very nice coffee and dark chockolate finish with gentle warmth on palate. Alcohol is perfectly hidden.
Palate: Body is light to medium, texture is wattery to dry, finish feel is chalky, medium astringent with nice herbal Saaz hoppy and a bit smoked nose and long bitterness on palate, no alcohol in taste but slight warmth is felt on palate, great brewmaster job.

Bottle. A clear, dark brown beer with a beige head. Slightly oxidizied aroma with a little touch of smoke. Sure on the malty side, could use a little more balance, but quite good. The flavor is on the other hand a bit boring, roasted and malty, lacking on the hops and bitterness. Coffee-like finish. Medium body with a decent carbonation level. Except for the "dark" part, the beer is quite boring. Easy to drink though. (080620)

Bottle 0,5l. Dark ruby red colored - almost black. A large creamy tanned head. Pleasant aroma of nuts and malt. Modest flavor of biscuit and malt - like bread. An evolving nutty and fruity dry aftertaste with hints of coffee and chocolate. Refreshing and quite good. KI=6.

Bottle. Big brown head with roasted malts and chocolate. Easy to drink and not too sweet to have a few in one sitting. Carbonation is light and taste is yet one-dimensional but good.
