Nutty, malty, lots of grain. Sweet, a bit too dessert-like, but not at all bad. More for winter drinking, perhpas. azlondon (664), Fribourg, Switzerland

Some ash and sourness comes through in aftertaste, leaving a very dry mouthfeel, but overall this is pretty unpleasant. In all the court cases between the Czech Budweiser/Budvar brand and the giant A-B, we were all secretly rooting for the little guy, the Czech company. But in return for our support, they’ve gone mass market and this now tastes like grim, weak, macro swill. Thanks guys. tlind2 (604), Helsinki, Finland
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 27, 2008 500 ml bottle. Deep brown color, big tan head. Aroma of roasted malts. Pretty light body, with more roasted malts and a suggestion of coffee. Not bad. bhensonb (4287), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 24, 2008 Draft at The Spaniards on the Heath. Dark brown color with orange/garnet hilites. Creamy light tan head. Dark toasted malt aroma. Near full bodied with medium carbonation. It is balanced, but whether from hop or burnt malt I cannot say. Suugests the old Guinness in a way, but with a different bitter.
