I’m not sure what makes this select, besides maybe it wasn’t tossed around baked in the sun after it was bottled. To advertise that it’s low in calories and carbohydrates proves that the flavor is a direct product of the cheap/ minimal ingredients.
Don’t get me wrong, I love low calorie items, but it’s not why I drink beer. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia

Flavor is similar with trace rice, corn, barley and drying hops. So faint, this is like seltzer water with barley. Drank six 16 oz. aluminum bottles of this at the Hard Rock Casino Pool in Las Vegas, NV.

Aroma is a blend of sour pils malt and light metallic noble hops, simple and not too inviting. Appearance is clear yellow with a medium maintained white head. Flavor is very simple and similar to aroma, with low sweetness and moderate bittering. Mouthfeel is low bodied with a strong carb texture. Overall, this is just not sweet enough, and also needs more complexity. mweber962000 (70), Illinois, USA

This beer is almost indistinguishable from bud light. Tastes maybe a little better. Anyways it isnt worth your time or money so dont waste either on this beer. hoplover (166), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 18, 2008 As with most Budweiser products other than Bud Light the can/bottle is awesome. I hate paying for Super Bowl commercials when I purchase beer but I think Bud Select is OK. Extra-weak, extra-pale lager, has more taste than Keystone Light but maybe a little less than Mich Ultra. I don’t mind drinking this stuff, especially when there are more than 6 beers planned for the evening. I don’t think there are any hops at all used in the brewing process here. Better than PBR Light. Big effing deal. blutt59 (2167), Dallas, Texas, USA
