That is not really saying much, but it did stand head and shoulders over Bud, Bud Ice, MGD, Labatt Ice, Molson Ice, Coors, Becks Light, Tecate, Amarit, and Heinekin Light. It had very light amber notes in its mostly yellow body, and there was a slight straw malt note in there. One thing it did have was a somewhat stable white head. I think I even tasted a hop. I am 36 and have stuck with the same beer for 15 years... until now. When I first tasted Bud Select (for free), I was totally impressed. Great Flavor and no bad aftertaste , unlike budweiser, makes Bud Select my current favorite beer of choice. Good Job AB!!!! GeneralGao (3076), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Sep 13, 2006 Draught. Clear golden color with foamy white head that left some lace on the glass. Light sprucy hop nose with a hint of pineapple. The piney hops are less prominent in the flavor. There is a subdued malty caramel note that lingers briefly at the end. Very watery. Eh. Budweiser is bad, Bud Light is even worse. Why, why, why, did they have to come out with a beer that is supposed to be in between, but in fact is worse than both put together. Ughh!!
